Our Mission
Bringing the timeless wisdom of Swara Yoga to seekers across the world — freely and authentically.
SwaraYoga.Org is an organisation dedicated to reviving and sharing the right knowledge of Swara Yoga — an ancient and largely forgotten science of the breath rooted in the Tantric tradition. The word Swara means "the sound of one's own breath," and this science teaches how the rhythmic flow of breath through the left and right nostrils governs every dimension of life — physical, mental, and spiritual. Through this website, authentic teachings drawn from the Shiva Swarodaya and other classical texts are made freely available in a clear, accessible, and practical form.
The platform operates under the direct personal guidance of Sannyasi Charanashrit, a dedicated practitioner and researcher of this ancient science for many decades. Every tool, calculation, and article on this site is offered completely free of charge, as a service to all sincere sadhaks on the path.
Our Mission
To guide sadhaks in the authentic practice of Swara Yoga Sadhana — providing reliable tools, classical references, and direct guidance so that every seeker may walk this path with clarity and confidence.
Free Knowledge
All Swara Yoga calculators, panchang tools, cycle charts, and educational resources on this website are completely free. Knowledge of this ancient science should be accessible to every sincere seeker, without barrier.
Guided by Masters
This organisation operates under the direct guidance of Sannyasi Charanashrit — a karma sannyasi initiated by Paramahamsa Niranjanananda of Bihar School of Yoga, with decades of practice, research, and teaching in Swara Yoga.

What is Swara Yoga?
Swara Yoga is an ancient branch of Tantra that studies the flow of breath through the nasal passages as a gateway to understanding the rhythms of the body, mind, and cosmos. The word Swara literally means "the sound of breath" — specifically the flow through the left nostril (Ida, the lunar channel), the right nostril (Pingala, the solar channel), or both simultaneously (Sushumna, the central channel).
Unlike Pranayama — which focuses on the regulation and control of breath — Swara Yoga is a science of observation. The practitioner learns to read the active swara at any given moment and use that knowledge to determine the most auspicious timing for actions, decisions, travel, spiritual practice, and daily living. The classical scripture of this tradition is the Shiva Swarodaya, a dialogue between Lord Shiva and Parvati, containing 395 Sanskrit shlokas describing this complete science.
Swara Yoga is a science that was closely guarded for centuries, transmitted only from guru to disciple in a one-to-one initiation. Today, through SwaraYoga.Org, its authentic teachings and practical tools are made freely available so that sincere seekers worldwide may benefit from this profound science of life.
